"Welcome! We’re glad you found us. As you search this site my hope is that you will discover the community that is Southminster Presbyterian Church. Most importantly, we are a people of deep faith. We are a people of all ages who worship together and find our strength in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the gift of scripture and the sacraments, which direct us to sharing our gifts with one another and with the world beyond our walls. We celebrate life together in learning together, eating together (we do that a lot), and in times of fellowship. We respond to Jesus’ command to love God and to love our neighbor. We do this by practicing an active evangelism in spreading the good news that in Christ all things are made possible, and inviting others to join us in worship and community life. We do this too by responding to needs of our immediate community and beyond; feeding the poor, visiting the sick, and participating in various mission projects. We have recently made renovations to our grounds, and in the past two years have added an alternative service of worship on Wednesday evenings. We continue to seek ways to grow in the spirit and to take seriously the words of our church tradition, to be “Reformed, always reforming,” in our worshiping life together.
